Edward J. Pike, 79, of Warwick Avenue, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” H. (Tatarian) Pike.
A son of the late Frank E. and Evelyn M. (Willson) Pike. Mr. Pike was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, a retired toolmaker for ETCO, Inc. for 40 years, and a member of the Valley Country Club. He was an avid golfer.
He was the loving father of Sandra L. Conley, Edward J. Jr., David E., Robert S., and the late Robin L. Pike; stepfather of Victor P. Martins, Jr., Linda Martins Smith and Robert J. Martins. Also survived by nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was the brother of the late twin brother Frank E. Pike, Jr. and Walter Pike.
His visiting hours will be held Thursday 4-7 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Home & Hospice Care of RI, South Team, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904, will be appreciated.
