Edward T. “Ted” Moran passed away peacefully on September 19, 2012 in his home, in San Francisco, California.
He was born in Providence the son of the late Edward T and Jean M (Leahy) Moran. Ted spent most of his life in California. He was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and RI College. His career spanned working as a teacher and at Price Waterhouse/Arthur Young as an accountant. He spent his last few years volunteering. He was a free spirit that loved traveling in the US and abroad. Ted was more interested in people than materialistic things. He had eclectic taste. His free spirit will always be remembered.
He is survived by Kevin J. (and Carol Gohl) of Providence, Bernadette McDowell (and John) of Warwick, Michael (and Erin) of Warwick, Sean of Warwick, and Colleen Bacon-Moran of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Patrick, Daniel, and Paul Moran. He had ten nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends on both coasts.
Ted's request was to have his ashes scattered in the San Francisco Bay, California. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. at St Rose and Clements’s Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick.
