Edward W. Carroll, Jr., 86 of New Britain Drive, a retired clerk for the US Postal Service in Warwick, passed away March 11, 2012 at the Kent Regency. He was the beloved husband of Pauline R. (Biron) Carroll.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward W. and Veronica (Murtagh) Carroll, Sr. Mr. Carroll was a World War II Navy veteran serving on the USS Pratt Victory. He was a life-long resident of Warwick and a communicant of St. Benedict Church and had a love for all sports, thoroughbred horse racing and Irish music. Edward was the loving father of Kevin E. Carroll, Stephanie M. Gorman, Susan C. Lamphere and Sharon V. Gregson; devoted grandfather of Shannon M. Gorman, Justin M. Gorman and Amber L. Gregson and Dennis W. Greenless, Jr.; brother of James L. Carroll, Patricia J. Carroll and the late John P. Carroll.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 15 in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave. at 10 am. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions to
