Edward W. Dodd, Jr., WFD (Ret), 48, passed away June 7, 2014.
He was the beloved son of Priscilla Dodd and the late Edward W. Dodd, Sr. (former State Representative, District 31). Edward was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and retired from the Warwick Fire Department after 20 years of dedicated service. He spent many hours sitting at the beach with his books, enjoying the peace and tranquility, appreciating everything good in life. His positive attitude and sense of humor were his greatest attributes. Ed touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.
He was the brother of Sharon Shoffler (Karl) and Maureen Gath (David); uncle of Sam Dodd, Henry Dodd, Korynn Shoffler and Kara Shoffler.
His funeral will be held Thursday, June 12, at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.
