Eileen T. Klinger
Eileen T. (O'Neil) Klinger, 82, died peacefully December 15, 2011 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles S. Klinger.
Mrs. Klinger was a proud resident of West Warwick for most all of her life. She spent a few short years, after her retirement, residing in Florida.
Born Jan. 7, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Francis A. and Sarah (Sullivan) O’Neil. After graduating from West Warwick High School, Eileen went to work for the former American Hoechst Corporation, where she headed up the Human Resources Department until her retirement in 1985. Mrs. Klinger always believed in education and went on to receive her Associate in Science in Business degree from CCRI in June 1986. She was an avid history buff and prided herself on being informed in all current affairs. She will be missed.
Mrs. Klinger leaves behind a son, Stephen and his wife, Elizabeth; two granddaughters Sherri Kuncio and Julie Mourachian; and four great-grandchildren, Bradley, Nathan, Alaina and Ryan, who were a constant source of pride and joy. She also leaves behind some close friends, a dear sister-in-law, four loving nieces, a nephew and their ever-growing families. Eileen was pre-deceased in death by her brothers, Francis M. and Robert E. O’Neil.
Calling hours were held Dec. 19 at The Butterfield Home and Chapel, 500 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a memorial service. Burial will take place Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
