Elaine L. (Alexander) Kent, 91, of Coventry, died March 28, 2013 at her daughter’s residence. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Kent. The couple had been married for 62 years.
Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth F. Alexander and Louella E. (Ryan) Alexander. Mrs. Kent was a Paralegal with John Brown Ltd-Leesona Corp. until her retirement in 1995. She was a faithful Communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, where she was active in many parish activities. Following her retirement, she was a volunteer and teacher of adult education. She enjoyed square dancing and taught round dancing with ballroom flair.
She leaves her devoted children: Robert G. Kent, Jr. (Karen) of Warwick, Michael C. Kent (Kim) of North Kingstown, Steven A. Kent (Joan), and Kristin J. Marciezyk (Charles) of Coventry. Cherished grandmother of twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, with four on the way. She was the grandmother of the late Michael Kent. She was the sister-in-law of Lee Alexander and sister of the late Ellsworth F. Alexander.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3252 Post Road, Warwick. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
