The Tri-City Elks Lodge No. 14 on West Shore Road in Warwick will host its sixth annual Fishing Derby this Saturday, beginning at 7 a.m.
Saturday’s event, which will be held rain or shine, will feature two age groups; one for youngsters ages 5 to 8 and another for kids 9 to 12. Coffee and hot chocolate will be served during registration. A fishing pole will be awarded to one child in each age group who catches the largest fish.
A weigh-in is scheduled for 11 a.m. Contestants will be treated to hot dogs, chips and soda after the trophy presentations. For more information, call 737-2196.
