Elliott M. Kempe, 67, formerly of Warwick and a resident of West Warwick for the past 24 years, passed away October 3, 2015, at home.
Born in Newport, he was a son of the late Paul and Cecelia (Ducharme) Kempe. An Air Force Veteran, Elliott worked as a laborer for National Grid before retiring. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards and billiards. Elliott was known for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his two children; Jason Kempe and his wife, Christine, and Jennifer Kempe; two grandchildren, Lyndsay and Nathan Kempe, who he cherished deeply; brother, Paul Kempe; and his loving companion Patricia Howard. Elliott also leaves behind his two beloved cats, Frank and Pearl.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., where Military Honors will be accorded. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m.
