Elton R. Tullie

Elton R. Tullie, 92, passed away on March 17th in Naples, Florida.

Originally from Providence, RI, Elton moved to Florida after serving in the United States Navy in World War II. Elton served in both the Pacific and Atlantic, including service on an Aircraft Carrier as part of a Flight Crew. After the war, Elton had a long and successful career as a metallurgist as the General Manager of Rex of Florida, Inc. in Dania, FL; a heat treating company that did work for the Defense Department, for businesses and for NASA. Elton resided in Hollywood, FL for 54 years where he raised his family. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, and nature. Later he moved to Everglades City where he enjoyed the slower pace of southwest Florida in his twilight years.

Elton was married his wife Catherine "Kitty" for many years. They had two children: Kathy and Richard. Kitty passed away years ago. Elton is survived by his two beloved children; Kathleen (Tullie) Brock and Richard Tullie, and their spouses Katherine Tullie and Timothy Brock. Elton will be terribly missed, and his life will be celebrated - he will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida 33024 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00am at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida 33024.
