Emeline M. (Phillips) Bernardo, age 94, formerly of Cranberry Pond Apartments, Post Road, Warwick, died on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at West Shore Health Center in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Bernardo, Sr.

Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha M. (LaChappelle) Phillips, she lived in Warwick for 74 years.

She is survived by a son, Alfred J. “Fred” Bernardo, Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Warwick; a granddaughter, Ashley J. Bernardo and her fiancé, Andrew J. Tibbetts; a grandson, Andrew J. Bernardo; several nieces and nephews including Florence Nottage-Bento, George Dupre, and Linda Mauldin; a cousin, Gardiner Phillips; and her beloved pet, Harry. She was the sister of the late Florence Dupre, Joseph L. Phillips, and Raymond L. Phillips.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 3, at 8 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.
