Emile Ernest Renaud, 78, peacefully passed this life, surrounded by his family on November 11, 2012 at the Hospice Center in Ormond Beach, Florida, after a long struggle with multiple illnesses

He was born to the late Emile R Renaud and Gertrude W (Marshall) Renaud on October 8, 1934 in Providence, RI. Ernie proudly served in the United States Navy. He was aboard the USS Ault during the Korean War. He was employed in the auto industry for most of his life. In Florida, he started Career Truck Toppers, and Action Trailers. He specialized in motorcycle trailers, with diamond plate features and custom paints. He and his wife, Charlie, were members of the Deltona Gold Wing Road Riders for several years. They served as Public Relations, participating in many events to help children. The last few years, Ernie enjoyed watching old Cowboy movies, and sharing time with his buddy, "Bullet" the poodle.

"Ernie" is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Charlene (Charlie) Renaud. Second to his wife, his greatest love was his family, daughters, Pamela Renaud of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Michelle Canto of Oviedo, Fla.; grandchildren: Christy, Amanda, Tristan and Arianna. Also, great-grandchildren, Aiden, Isaiah, Emily, Rowan, Josiah, and Emma-Grace. He is also survived by sisters, Teresa Nicol of Warwick, and Evelyn ( Tootie ) Archibald of Port Charlotte, Fla., and brother, Philip Castelli of Warwick. He will be greatly missed by his in-laws, Betty and Sam Rollings of Deltona, Fla.. Ernie was predeceased by his parents; and second “Dad”, Philip Castelli; sisters Jean Benedetto and Sally Smith, and brother Jimmy Marshall.

The lessons he taught, will always be remembered, as was his humor and generosity and unconditional love. ‘Til we all meet again.
