Engines to rev, oldies to play at Animal Shelter car show

The 6th Annual “Cause for Paws” Classic Car Show will take place this Sunday at 171 Service Place, located at 171 Service Rd. (off Jefferson Blvd.), Warwick. The rain date is Sunday, July 21. 

Antique cars, classic cars to 1989, rods, muscle cars and all-year corvettes are invited to exhibit. Vehicle registration is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with free goody bags and dash plaques to the first 100 entries. The entry fee is $15 per car. Spectators are free to roam the show.  

Enjoy oldies music by Cruisin’ Bruce Palmer. Trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m. in 28 classes, including Best of Show, People’s Choice and Best Club Participation. 

There will be door prizes and raffles, including a 50/50 raffle.  

Bring a can of wet dog food or wet cat food for the shelter animals and receive an additional door prize ticket. 

Food and refreshments will be available.  

For the third consecutive year, this event is being sponsored by Balise Subaru, located in Warwick.
