Esther D. (Thornlimb) Tombs, age 86, of Jefferson Street, Warwick, died on Monday, October 19, 2015, at home. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Tombs, Sr.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edmund and Ellen (Pearson) Thornlimb, she was a life-long Warwick resident. Mrs. Tombs was a member of the ladies auxiliary of William Shields, Jr. Post # 43 American Legion.
She is survived by a daughter and three sons, Cynthia E. McElroy, Kenneth L. Tombs, Jr., Steven B. Tombs, and John B. Tombs, all of Warwick; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carole Price and Paula Phillips, both of Florida; and a brother, Richard Thornlimb of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Everett Thornlimb and Elmer Thornlimb.
