Eunice V. (Bugbee) Manchester, 82, of Warwick died on November 24, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. Manchester.
Born in Providence in 1930, a daughter of the late Carlton N. and Mildred M. (Oatley) Bugbee, she was a life-long Warwick resident and a 1948 graduate of Gorton High School. She graduated in 1952 from Pembroke College, now Brown University, and subsequently became a teacher in the Warwick Public Schools. Eunice was a long-time board member of the Brown Alumnae Club of Kent County. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening, bicycling, and walking the beach, and was also a talented knitter.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Manchester, and son-in-law, Matthew Heaney of San Jose, California; three sisters, Lucille M. Peterson of Minnesota, Mildred E. Brown of Warwick, and Rita H. Bugbee of Wakefield, a brother, Alden O. Bugbee of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Carlton N. Bugbee, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be private.
