Eva M. “Betty” (Smith) Iadevaia, 90, died May 7, 2014. She was the wife of the late Francesco G. Iadevaia.

Born in Providence on June 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Davis) Smith, she has been a resident in Warwick for 60 years. Betty was devoted to her family and had a gentle and quiet spirit.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. Soscia and husband, Tony, and Alisa F. Thompson and husband, Keith; her grandchildren: Dr. Jason Soscia (Kerri), Matthew Soscia (Jhuma) and Nicholas Soscia (Nicole); great-grandmother of Ravina, Sofia and Chloe-Rose Soscia and Aiden Laffey. She was the sister of George Smith and the late Arthur and Frank Smith.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 13, at 10 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Clement Church, Long Street Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
