Evelyn (Sylvia) Dolman, age 106, a resident of West Shore Health Center, Warwick, and formerly of Simmonsville Avenue, Johnston, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Dolman.
Born in New Bedford, MA, a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Tavares) Sylvia, she lived in East Providence and Johnston before moving to Warwick in August 2009. Mrs. Dolman was employed at Purity Laundry in Providence for 20 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mildred Savage of Warwick; twelve grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John Dolman, Gilbert Dolman, Jr., and George Dolman; and the sister of the late Clarence Sylvia, Edward Sylvia, John Sylvia, Irene Cunha, Dorothy Amaral, and Ernest Sylvia.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. www.barrettandcotter.com
