Everett M. “Fluffy” Robinson, 85, of Warwick, passed away peacefully April 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was formerly a resident of Pawtucket for 70-plus years. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn M. (Tregaskis) Robinson for 62 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Norman Robinson and Elizabeth (MacIssac) Robinson. Everett was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II and was employed at Ciba-Geigy Chemical Co., Cranston branch, for 28 years, retiring in 1986.
Everett will always be remembered for his infectious personality and meeting and making friends wherever he went. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and most of all relaxing in “his chair.” He was a natural comedian and always found a way to make someone smile.
He was the loving and devoted father of Jean E. (Robinson) True and her husband, Richard, of Bostic, N.C., Kenneth R. Robinson and his wife, Susan, of Warwick, Kimberly Robinson of Lincoln, Mary (Robinson) Goff and her husband, John, of Warwick and the late Lawrence E. Robinson. He was a loving brother of George R. Robinson and his wife, Marjorie, of North Providence and Warwick and the late Robert Robinson, Norman E. Robinson Jr. and Marjorie T. Maier. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Julie (Robinson) Marandola, Jason Robinson, Jessica (Robinson) Muldoon, Stephanie Goff, Shayne Goff and Hanna Goff, and six great-grandchildren Brianna, Haley, Lawrence, Jacob, Morgan and Andrew.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation April 12 from 5-7 p.m. in Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Funeral and burial services will be private.
