Recent Warwick Vets graduate Liz Paras has signed on to play lacrosse this coming year at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.
Paras is part of a nine woman recruiting class for Shenandoah head coach Lindsey Lutz, who has led the team to 25 wins in the past two seasons.
Shenandoah lost just one player, Alexis Landau, to graduation off of a 2012 squad that won a program-record 13 matches.
Lutz will have 23 women on her pre-season roster.
Lutz has three recruits each from Maryland and Virginia and one apiece from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
Eight of the nine are field players. Two primarily play defense, two in the midfield, three on attack and one, Sarah Hankins, is a combo player on the offensive end.
Bonnie Giovannetti, from Poolesville, Maryland, rounds out the class and will provide depth in the goal behind All-Chesapeake Region goalie Ashley Cross.
"Our schedule is considerably more difficult this season with our transition to the ODAC," Lutz said. "These women need to be ready to compete immediately, because we are now playing in one of the best leagues in Division III."
