You never know what you’ll find at the Gaspee Days Arts and Crafts Fair, which was held over the weekend. Rain put a damper on the fair Monday. The event is a major fundraiser for the non-profit Gaspee Days Committee, which is observing the 51st anniversary of its celebration of the burning of the British ship Gaspee on June 9, 1772. The Gaspee Days celebration continues with a concert at 7 p.m. by the Warwick Symphony Orchestra at Pawtuxet Park followed by fireworks at Salter Grove on June 4. The Gaspee Days parade will be held Saturday, June 11. Ceremonies will close the following afternoon with the symbolic burning of the Gaspee.
