Injuries and a few discipline issues left the Pilgrim boys’ soccer team with just 11 players for Thursday’s game against Cranston West, and that made for an uphill battle. The Falcons – who like Pilgrim had just one victory coming in – scored three times in the first half and coasted to a 3-0 victory. Austin Raposa had two goals for the Falcons, and Alec Kolenda tallied the other. Pilgrim’s Aaron Edmonds, typically a field player, stepped into the goalie position and held his own for the Pats. Pilgrim will try to bounce back today when it hosts Coventry at 3:30 p.m.
