Felix E. Gill, 87, of Willow Ave., Narragansett, passed away Wednesday morning, July 22, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Nancy P. (O’Gara) Gill, his wife of 44 years.

Born in Fenagh, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, a son of the late James and Annie (Gallogly) Gill. He came to the United States in 1949 and resided in Newport, New York, New Haven & Hartford, Connecticut and Warwick before moving full time to Narragansett. Mr. Gill was the proprietor of the Shannon View Inn in Warwick for 25 years before retiring. He was a communicant of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, a Korean War Army Veteran, founding member of the New Haven Gaelic Football Hurling Club, a founding member of the Shannon View Golf League, member of Ireland 32 and enjoyed spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.

Besides his wife he leaves four children, Deirdre G. McCaffrey and her husband, Michael of Warwick, Feidlim E. Gill and his wife, Melissa of Narragansett, Eamonn G. Gill of Boston, Massachusetts and Allison M. Gill of Narragansett; two sisters, Tessie O’Rourke of Co. Leitrim, Ireland and Josie Linnane of Co. Galway, Ireland; and six grandchildren. He was the husband of the late Marie (Flynn) Gill; and brother of the late Maura Horgan,Willie and John Gill.

His funeral will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the Prata-Gallogly Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett. Interment with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 p.m.
