Fernande C. (Beauregard) Satterley

Fernande C. (Beauregard) Satterley, age 97, of Eddy Street, West Warwick, died on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late George E. Satterley, Sr.

Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late George and Laura F. (Provost) Beauregard, she lived in West Warwick for most of her life. Mrs. Satterley was employed as a psychiatric aide at the Rhode Island Medical Center General Hospital in Cranston for 21 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Local # 94 AFSCME. Mrs. Satterley had been a member of the Coventry Seniors Bowling League, the Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus, and served as a volunteer with RSVP. At age 82 she auditioned for, and received a part in, the movie ‘Meet Joe Black’, which was filmed in Rhode Island.

She was the mother of Paula M. Barker and her husband, John of Warwick, Elaine M. Cournoyer of Coventry, Keith L. Satterley of Coventry, and the late George E. Satterley, Jr.; the sister of the late Lucille Beauregard, Constance Curran, and Paul Beauregard; and the grandmother of several grandchildren, including Alison Ball and her husband, Robert, Charles Redman, Eric Redman, Dana Corrado, and the late Ernest Redman. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, including Nicholas, Brandon, and Zachary.

Her funeral service was held on Monday, April 29, in the Potvin & Cotter Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
