“Up Close at Hope,” Festival Ballet’s highly acclaimed Black Box Theatre series, returns to their 825 Hope St., Providence venue for a Mixed Repertory this coming April 10 through 25.
There is nothing better than being “up close” for a dance performance. You catch every movement and hear the dancers breathe as they perform their highly skilled and athletic movements.
A dozen traditional and modern dance routines are performed in the intimate theatre. If you don’t care for one, there are many more to come.
Mihailo “Misha” Djuric aims to please his audiences as he did last week at Vets, adding a pair of “Up Hope” dances to his JuxtaPose program to whet your appetite.
Rhode Island is fortunate to have world-class dancers and guest artists performing at such a high level. We have been attending “Up Close at Hope” for many years and have never been disappointed.
Performances are Fridays, April 10, 17 and 24 at 8 p.m. and Saturdays, April 11, 18 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. For tickets call 353-1129 or go online at www.festivalballetprovidence.org.
