Festival51, a Rhode Island-based original works play festival focused on developing works for female writers, seeks actors for roles in the four different plays that will make up the 2nd Annual Festival51 Women’s Playwriting Festival (www.festival51.org).

Providence auditions will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 2-6 p.m. at the AS220 Blackbox Theater at 95 Empire Street. South Kingstown auditions will be held on Monday, April 25 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Contemporary Theater Company, 327 Main Street. All auditions are by appointment; to schedule a reading for either the 24th or 25th (or both), email rifestival51@

gmail.com. Prepare a two-minute monologue that showcases your talents as an actor and be prepared for cold readings from the scripts.

All plays will be fully staged and produced by Festival51 at the 95 Empire in Providence (July 15-24) with additional staged readings and production at The Contemporary Theater Company in South Kingstown during May and September. While it may be possible for actors to be in more than one of the four plays, they intend to cast all four with different actors to facilitate rehearsals. The plays will be produced in repertory with only two of the winning plays showing on any given night. Rehearsal schedules will be at the discretion of individual directors.
