(Wonderful cartoon feature for entire family)
In sharp contrast to the "Resident Evil" movies, Pixar has re-released the wonderful cartoon feature of nine years ago.
Can you believe that a whole new set of parents and kids are now able to see the movie on the big screen. Many families have bought the DVD and shown it over and over again. This time around, it can also be seen in 3D, which adds depth to the ocean and aquarium scenes, but doesn't have anything coming out at you.
We saw the 3D version this time around, and it is nice if you want to spend the extra money. There was a family of five in front of us who, with the added cost of popcorn and sodas, must have spent more than the cost of a Red Sox game. At least they had free parking.
The colors are bright, the characters are lovable, and the adventures are engrossing. Parents and children will once again marvel at the story of the clown fish who ventures outside the reef into the open ocean and is scooped up by a scuba diver, landing in an aquarium in a dentist's office.
His father ventures outside the safe reef, where he is helped by a variety of sea creatures, including turtles, whales, manta rays, pelicans and dozens of colorful fish. Together, they come to the rescue of the fish, and we all cheer as Nemo, his father and a beautiful blue fish Dad met along the way, return safely to the reef.
Lots of good messages for the kids, a bunch of great lines for the adults, and an all-around good time for the family. If you have never seen "Finding Nemo,” put it on your to-do list. It is also one of those rare movies that you can enjoy seeing again and again. You'll also enjoy a new "Toy Story" short before the feature.
Rated G for Great.
