Sarah Abatiello, daughter of Kathy and Paul Abatiello, recently placed first in the Rhode Island State Elks Americanism Essay Contest. The topic of the essay was “What the National Anthem Means to Me.” Sarah, a sixth grade student at St. Kevin School, will be awarded a $200 Educational Scholarship Award on April 21st at the Elks Hall in Coventry.
