Playing Warwick PAL for the first time this season, the Flood Auto Connie Mack team kept up its hot start on Saturday.
Flood jumped out to an early lead and used a big fifth inning to break open a tight game and earn an 8-5 victory.
Mike Kiernan started the game on the mound for Flood, followed by Robert Montagano and Matt Colucci. Colucci pitched the final four innings, giving up just one unearned run.
Flood went up 1-0 in the first inning, and then made it 3-0 in the second on a two-run single by Kyle Barbato.
In the fifth, the first three batters reached before Joe Maynard singled in a run, Justin Gist brought another one home with a groundball and Drew Almonte knocked one in with a base hit as well. That made the score 7-2, and Flood held on from there.
