For the kid in all of us Papa's Ice Cream now introducing home-baded cupcakes
Paul Silva Jr. sits down to chat with first-timer fans Elmer and Patricia Ann Smith - married 60 years this fall.

Just because the take-out counter is jam-packed with sticky-fingered, lip-smacking children doesn't mean there isn't plenty of room for you at Papa's Ice Cream in Warwick. Papa's Ice Cream is just one of those places that draw a large crowd of children - children of ALL ages, that is! Just ask Elmer W. and Patricia Ann Smith, married nearly 60 years and happily tasting Papa's Ice Cream for the first time on a sunny day in March. Elmer and Patricia are "purists", preferring the classic favorites, vanilla and chocolate, but perhaps a second visit will entice them to spring for one of their many other options available at this popular ice cream parlor.

Paul and Addie Silva opened Papa's Ice Cream 13 years ago where delicious ice cream has been served up to fans of all generations ever since. This colorful, cheerful and clean business continues their family tradition of great taste, low prices and friendly service. Ice cream lovers are invited to come by and enjoy their favorite treat, either inside or out - there is even a drive-through window!

The huge selection here of ice cream and frozen yogurt flavors, 20 different toppings, soft-serve, and every variation of sundae, milkshake and banana split, is endless and positively sinful! Most in demand~ the "Superman", a refreshing mix of strawberry, banana, and "blue moon" ice cream. Check out these favorites: Road Runner Raspberry (white chocolate ice cream with a raspberry swirl and chocolate covered raspberries), Cappuccino Crunch (Coffee Ice cream, hard chocolate swirl and chunks of toffee) or Royal Red Velvet Cake (cream cheese ice cream with chunks of red velvet cake and vanilla cream swirl). There are no words.

One of Papa's Ice Cream's newest additions is a no-fat, no-cholesterol, low-cal and gluten-free frozen yogurt, "Only 8". It is also safe for most diabetics and those with lactose intolerance, and best of all, it is only one point for Weight Watcher® fans. Unbeatable.

As if it was even possible, Papa's Ice Cream is about to get even better! Now, talented baker Amy Friedman is adding her home-baked cupcakes to their repertoire of tasty options. Amy bakes two flavors of cupcakes each day (available Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays - or any day by special order for your special occasion) Her biggest hits: the Red Velvet, Peanut Butter cup, Cookies & Cream, and PB & J cupcakes - all "buy three, get one free" for the month of April. Better hurry, they are simply delicious.

Papa's Ice Cream is open seven days a week, 2pm until 9 pm (watch for new hours this summer). They are located on 2987 West Shore Road in the Buttonwoods section. CASH ONLY please! For more information, call them at 739-4975 or "like" them on facebook (Papa's Ice Cream LLC).
