The following information was obtained from a press release by the Rhode Island Department of Health:

The Department of Health recommends re-opening City Park Beach in Warwick, Conimicut Point Beach in Warwick, Goddard Memorial State Park Beach in Warwick, and Oakland Beach in Warwick for swimming. This recommendation is based on results from water samples that show bacteria levels within acceptable limits. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality regularly to assure safe bathing throughout the summer season. Water quality analysis is conducted by the State Health laboratory or a state certified laboratory.

PLEASE NOTE: BEACH STATUS MAY CHANGE ON A DAILY BASIS. For up-to-date information about swimming at Rhode Island beaches, go to the Department of Health website at www.health.ri.gov/beaches or for recorded information about Rhode Island bathing beaches call (401) 222-2751.
