Looking for a good restaurant?
Check out Rhodybeat.com for over 31 restaurants that Don and Joyce Fowler have visited in the past two years, and you’ll find their full reviews on the web site.
“In 2012 we had the pleasure of reviewing 24 great restaurants, eight in Warwick, six in Cranston, eight in Providence, plus one each in East Providence, East Greenwich and Tiverton,” Don said. “You’ll find everything from the best hot wieners in Rhode Island at Warwick’s Cosmic Pizza to a veal shank to die for at the East Side’s Kartabar.”
“Rhode Island, and especially Warwick/Cranston/Providence, deserves to be honored as having the finest restaurants in the country. We prefer to eat at family owned and operated restaurants, supporting small business and the families that work so hard to give you quality service and food.
“Go to a place like Cranston’s Hong Kong Buffet and you’ll see an entire family, from young folks waiting tables to grandparents cooking in the kitchen.
Restaurants like Warwick’s Greenwood Inn have been in the same family for generations. When you see the same waiter you remember from 20 years ago, you know you’re in the right place.
“Whether it is Paul Shire’s famous meatloaf at Roi in Providence or 2 Pauls in East Providence, we have discovered some incredibly good specials that bring us back long after we have reviewed the establishment.
“You can’t beat the fish and chips at the Shriners Club in Cranston or the baked stuffed shrimp at Twin Oaks.”
Don and Joyce hope to continue to seek out new and established restaurants in the three-city area in 2013 and would appreciate your recommendations. When you go on Rhodybeat.com, click on Warwick Beacon or Cranston Herald, and then click on Lifebeat. Besides an array of restaurants to choose from, you will also find current and past movie and theatre reviews.
