Francis J. Williams, 74, died Monday at home. He was the husband of Elaine (Granata) Williams.

Born in Providence a son of the late Francis J. and Gertrude (Manning) Williams, he was a Warwick resident for 18 years previously living in Edgewood. He was a mechanic for the Leesona Corporation for 22 years and then was a medical equipment technician retiring 10 years ago. He was a life member of the Pawtuxet Athletic club and Tri City Elks Lodge 14, a longtime member of the Gaspee Day Committee.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Sherry McNally (Mark) of Mashpee, MA, a son, Frank Williams (Sheryl) of Warwick; and three precious grandchildren: Justin, Emma and Jessie. He also leaves a sister: Jean Rice of Delaware.

The funeral will be held Saturday with calling hours beginning at 10:30 a.m.and a service at 12 noon in the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Ave. Burial will be private.
