Francis T. “Frank” Maiorano, 84, of Bonnet Shores, formerly of Cranston, died February 15, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Corso) Maiorano.
He wass the son of the late Raffaele and Domenica Maiorano. Affectionately known as “Frankie the Banana Man,” he owned the S. Corso Banana Company for many years.
He was the father of Marie Lupino and her husband, City Council President Anthony Lupino, of Cranston. He was the proud grandfather of Adam Lupino. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Maiorano and Vincenza DiFillippo, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was the brother of the late Joseph Maiorano and Anna Weinberg.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 18 in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours were Feb. 17 in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
