Frank M. Crowther, Jr., age 71, of Bellevue Avenue, Warwick, died unexpectedly at home on August 11, 2012.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank M. and Ruth E. (Clipston) Crowther, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. Mr. Crowther was employed in machine repair at Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing for over 40 years. He was a member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Co., the Tri- City Lodge of Elks # 14, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 463 in Attleboro, MA, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aierie # 1313 in West Warwick, and was an associate member of William Shields, Jr. Post American Legion.
He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth L. Pashkovsky and Ruth A. Crowther, both of Warwick, a brother, John R. Crowther of Warwick; eight nieces and nephews, Jean Marie Jencks, Laurie Charpentier, Stephen Meinel, Kristine Coffey, Amy Prado, Sharon Crowther, Stefanie Crowther, and Joshua Crowther; and several grandnieces, grandnephews; great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. He was the brother of the late Barbara J. Meinel.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 17, from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green. Burial will be private.
