Frederick A. Ligouri

Frederick A. Ligouri, 87, of Lane 2, Gaspee Point, Warwick, died February 24, 2012 at home.
Born in Providence, a son of Irma Ligouri Giroux, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Ligouri was employed at the former A & P Warehouse in Cranston for 35 years, retiring as head of maintenance in 1977. He was a member of the former John F. Kennedy Council Knights of Columbus and was a volunteer with Troop 4 Norwood, Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by a son, Tony F. Kinsella of Warwick; three daughters, Barbara A. Simoneau of Burbank, Calif., Janice M. Ligouri of North Providence and Lisa J. Regnault of Johnston; two brothers, Southern Giroux of Cranston and Billy Giroux of Providence; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Susan L. Galloway and Mark T. Kinsella and brother of the late Shirley Gallaway and Randy Giroux. The family extends many thanks to all who assisted in Fred’s care.
His funeral service will be held Feb. 29 at 10 a.m. in Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Visiting hours are Feb. 28 from 4-7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
