Frederick L. Manchester

Frederick L. Manchester, age 82, of Willow Glen Circle, Warwick, died on May 25, 2012 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Rossi) Manchester.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Ernest B. and Marion E. (Yost) Manchester, he was a life-long Warwick resident. Mr. Manchester was a tractor-trailer driver for Berger Lumber Corp. for 40 years, retiring 20 years ago.

He is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Smith of Johnston; a son, Frederick L. Manchester, Jr. of Warwick; two brothers, Robert Manchester and Thomas Manchester, both of Warwick; two grandchildren, Courtney L. Manchester and Sarah Beth McCurdy; a great-grandson, Oliver E. Keating; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Elena Day, and the brother of the late Ernest B. Manchester, Jr., Richard, Harold, and Louis Manchester, Barbara Manchester, and Marjorie Gardiner.

His funeral service was held on May 30, in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
