The Sons of Norway, with the Scandinavian Women’s Chorus, is presenting a free concert on Friday, October 28 at 4 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 9 New London Avenue, West Warwick.
Craig Noll will be playing works of Grieg, Sibelius, Chopin and Mendelssohn. Also performing a variety of traditional Scandinavian songs are Jessica Stensrud, violin-alto, Corinne Wahberg, alto, Cass Michael, soprano, Astrid M. Drew, soprano, and Rose Jermusyk, alto. The performance will include works by Sigurbjornssen, Bellman, Ost and others. A free-will offering will be accepted to support the effort of these organizations in keeping the musical heritage of Scandinavia alive in Rhode Island.
