Free stroke awareness program is June 28

Greenwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Warwick will be presenting "Stroke Awareness,” a free informational seminar open to the public at 3 p.m. on June 28. The presentation will be held at Greenwich Bay Manor, a retirement community, located at 945 Main Street, East Greenwich.

Kathy Bedard, director of nurses at Greenwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, will provide instruction for the seminar. "As a nurse, education is a key component in the prevention of many types of health conditions such as stroke, which are 80 percent preventable," says Kathy Bedard.
