Gas prices 29 cents lower than last month

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down five cents from last week, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s Nov. 3 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.10 per gallon, down five cents from last week. Prices locally are 29 cents lower than a month ago. The current price is 12 cents more than the national average for regular unleaded of $2.98. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was 29 cents higher at $3.39.

The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 32 cents, from a low of $2.97 to a high of $3.29. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up- every trip, every time.
