Gayle (Gardner) Morse, age 68, of 2220 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 31, 2016, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William H. and Lillian T. Gardner, she lived in Warwick for most of her life. Mrs. Morse was employed as an administrative assistant at Brown University for 26 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed the beach, playing scrabble and pinochle, and spending time with her friends. She cherished her family the most.

She is survived by a daughter, Heather M. Morse of Annapolis, MD; a son, Derek R. Morse and his wife, Jessica of Foster; her brothers and sisters: her twin William H. Gardner, Jr. of Juno Beach, FL, Pamela J. Berard and her husband, Wally of Narragansett, Mark R. Gardner of Warwick, and her “little sister” Debby Gardner Clancy of Warwick; five grandchildren: Luke, Shane, Ben, Jake, and Lauren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. Her nickname was “Auntie Giggles.” She was the sister of the late Lynne Gardner O’Neil and Paul K. Gardner.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
