George E. Davis, 65, of Warwick passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sandra A. (Roach) Davis.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ernest G. and Dorothy (McPeak) Davis. George was a Physical Therapist Assistant for CareLink in Providence. He graduated from West Warwick High School in 1967 and received his Associate Degree in Applied Science from Newbury Junior College in 1982. He also served as a Community Service Officer for the City of Warwick and in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an NRA Certified Instructor in Pistol, Rifle, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection Inside and Outside the Home and was a Chief Range Safety Officer. He was also a member of the Smithfield Sportsman’s Club.

Devoted to his family, he was the loving father of Carrie L. Davis and her fiancé, Robert Levinson of Coventry and Michael R. Davis and his fiancée, Ashley Lavoie of West Warwick. Cherished grandfather of Kaile, Ashlyn, Shylah and Dean. He was the brother of the late Sandra Staystork.

George was a very prideful man. His family, along with his accomplishments, meant the world to him. He was respected by his patients, co-workers, and fellow instructors within the NRA. His absence will undoubtedly be large, but his legacy is larger.
