Georgina “Georgie” Marciano, age 91, of Hess Avenue, Warwick, died peacefully on April 26, 2014, at Sunny View Nursing Home.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Raffaele and Alessandra (DeCubellis) Marciano, she was a Providence resident until moving to Warwick 15 years ago. Ms. Marciano was employed for many years at the former Shepard’s Department Store, retiring approximately 40 years ago.

She is survived by two brothers, her twin, Alfred Marciano of Warwick, and Orlando L. Marciano of East Providence, a sister, Carmela Capraro of Johnston; a niece, Janice M. Abatiello of Carver, Massachusetts; three nephews: Alfred T. Marciano of Warwick, Ralph C. Marciano of East Providence, and the Rev. Robert L. Marciano, pastor of St. Kevin Church in Warwick; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Carlo Marciano.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the Miga Family and the entire staff of Sunny View Nursing Home for their compassionate care while Georgie was in residence with them.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 29, at 9:30 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
