Gertrude V. (Rotella) Simmons, 73, of Archdale Drive, a retired bus driver, passed away June 1, 2013 at Kent Hospital.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Vianna (Antonucci) Rotella. She was the mother of Cheryl A. Willard and the late Stanley Bowen; grandmother of Tara N. J. Hassell; great-grandmother of Haylee A. R. Parillo; sister of Ernest Rotella, Louise Choquette and Anna Toone.
Her funeral Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane.
