Getting gardens ready for winter

Join URI Master Gardener Lee Menard for tips on how to prepare your garden and yard for winter at Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.

Find out how to clean up your flower and vegetable gardens so they’re ready for spring. Learn to plant bulbs and prep your lawn, trees, shrubs, roses and tools for the New England chill.

Plus, get a jump on spring with advice on how to plan next year’s garden during the winter season. URI Master Gardeners have been teaching the latest and best gardening practices to gardeners across Rhode Island since 1977.

Register online at warwicklibrary.org or by phone at 739-5440 extension 4. For more information, call 739-5440 extension 221. The Library is located at 600 Sandy Lane.
