Girl Scouts open house set tonight

Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) is hosting an open house recruitment event this evening from 5-7 p.m. at GSSNE’s Council Office located at 500 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Girls and adults interested in learning more about opportunities for participating in Girl Scouts are invited to attend.

The event is free and open to the public. During the open house, families can find out about the flexible variety of ways to be involved in Girl Scouting, talk to staff, ask questions, participate in a sampling of Girl Scout activities and register for Girl Scouts. Annual membership is $25 for girls and $15 for adults with financial aid available. In addition, the Council Shop will be open to sell uniforms, accessories and other merchandise.

Girl Scouts is open to all girls from kindergarten through grade 12 and adults over age 18 may become volunteers. Girl Scout volunteers come from all walks of life; they are men, women, young professionals, retirees, college students and more. Both girls and adults can join at any time of the year.
