Global warming assaults our intellect

Posted

To the Editor:

If the coldest weather on the planet outside of Siberia does not make the reader a climate change denier, then nothing will and he can suffer without the benefits of fossil fuels. God is not mocked and the weather and climate are in His sovereign hands and that means they are not subject to the lofty whims of the president, Senator Whitehouse and their fellow travelers.

The insulting nature of their liberalism is derived from its incessant advocacy of an agenda such as global warming, which simply makes no sense and which assaults our intellect and presumes that we don’t have one. These liberals disguise their deadly Marxism in one package after another and challenge us to believe something that is obviously not true and that cannot be supported by daily observation.

Even worse than the politicians, are those that repeatedly vote for and endorse these reprobates.

Erik...don't you see? Whether it is 40 below or 90 above, any drastic change in the weather is due to global 'climate change'. Stop using global warming. We ditched that when our global warming scientists were meeting in the Antarctic to discuss the loss of glacier ice and they had to be rescued by Coast Guard ice breakers. Please play along and make Al 'climate' Gore richer.

Climate change is not dogmatic Marxism, nor corrupt Science. Climate change-based on global warming-is not a controversy within science. Dishonest intellectual hacks-in the pay of Big Energy- are misleading a public not too blessed with science literacy. The seeming contradiction of extreme cold while THEY are talking about global warming is easily explained by 19th century thermodynamics: How do you explain your COLD refrigerator in a very warm house ? It takes added energy to do this. In fact the house must be getting warmer while the refrigerator remains cold.

True, God is not mocked. But his Laws of Nature never fool us like those devious Ayn Rand Republicans. But Ayn at least believed in objective reality !

Climate Change" which encompasses Global Warming does not assault my intellect. Legitimate scientific bodies from all over the world and from various scientific disciplines are in agreement that the climate is changing more and more rapidly and that we have a lot to do with its acceleration. It is no small coincidence that the anti-tax crowd who fear that taking responsibility may cost them something are the ones most stridently bunking scientific theory. They have their own cadre of experts and scientists and their rhetoric and "findings"and their tabloids and mouthpieces are as predictable as the dawn.

The gigantic boulders lying in the woods of Scituate are a testimony to a time when glaciers carved these stones from place of origin and dropped them where they lie as the glacier melted. Since no one was able to record this phenomenon, we can only surmise that how these huge boulders arrived at their location but assuming that to be true, the climate has certainly changed. The climate and weather has always been in a dynamic state so that is not news, but the idea that man is responsible for this change cannot be proven and has driven many to very false and expensive conclusions such as the construction of the wind farm off the coast if RI. This State needs the cheapest power to keep our economy going and growing and instead our politicians throw our tax dollars at these ludicorous wind farms which will only last for a few years and generate power at great cost.
