Gloria H. (Stevens) Coutcher, 80, of Warwick passed away June 26, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of John F. Coutcher, Sr. (Chief WPD Retd.), they had been married for 60 years.

Born in Bridgeport, Conneticut, she was a daughter of the late Michael A. “Mickey” Stevens and Minna F. (Schoennagel) Stevens. Mrs. Coutcher was an executive secretary for Leesona Corp. She was a member of the Warwick Art Foundation.

She was the loving mother of Laurene M. Robillard and her husband, Duke of Pawtucket, Joanne I. Ferri of Long Beach, California, Theresa C. Sokolowski and her husband, Edward of Warwick and the late John F. Coutcher, Jr., mother-in-law of Kelly A. Coutcher of Warwick. Cherished grandmother of eleven and the late Kimberly Coutcher; and great-grandmother of seven. Caring sister of Jeanne E. Sjovall of Barrington, Marlene M. Maher and Isabel M. Coutcher, both of Zephyr Hills, Florida and the late David C., Charles H. and Theodore J. Stevens.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:45 a.m. from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-8 p.m.
