Gloria Marie (Faubert) Hawkins, 92, of Hanover, Massachusetts and formerly of Charlestown, RI, passed away on March 16, 2015.
Born on March 21, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Michel Faubert and M. Leontine Bouchard originally from Quebec, Canada. Gloria retired in 1984 after a long career as an administrative assistant at a variety of manufacturing firms in Rhode Island. She enjoyed the beach and taking occasional trips to Block Island. She was an avid reader and follower of current events. A cat lover she had a number of rescue cats during her lifetime.
Gloria was the beloved mother of Ronald P. Hawkins and his wife, Julia of Hanover. Gloria was also the devoted grandmother of Karla M. Hawkins of Boston. She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Delphine, Maxine, and Jeanette, and two brothers Arthur and Mitchell.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Royal Norwell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Fidelis Hospice.
Per Gloria’s wishes there will be no visiting hours and a private graveside service will be performed.
