The high school graduation season is upon us. Starting this week with Rocky Hill School, Warwick high schools will hold commencement exercises.

The Rocky Hill graduation is Friday at the school campus on the lawn in front of Hopelands at 10 a.m. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Sharpe gymnasium. Speaking for the class will be the valedictorian, David Golding, and newly elected Alumni Class president Steven Santos. The head of Rocky Hill, Peter Branch, and the head of the upper school, Doug Poskitt, will be addressing the 37 graduating seniors. The guest commencement speaker will be Richard Saul Wurman. Wurman is an architect and graphic designer. He also co-founded the TED conferences. The non-profit organization works to spread “ideas worth sharing.” It gathers scholars, innovators, and artists alike to attend and speak at “TED” conferences across the globe in an educational effort.

The Bishop Hendricken graduation is the following week on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Cathedral Saints Peter and Paul. Student speakers will be the valedictorian, Nicholas T. Gardner, the salutatorian, Christopher E. Bianco, and the class president, Christopher A. Caramello. President of the school, John A. Jackson, a 1971 graduate of Hendricken, will also address the students, as well as Joseph T. Brennan, the principal, a 1972 graduate. A total of 198 students will be graduating this year from Hendricken.

The Toll Gate graduation is Tuesday the 10th at 6 p.m. Beth Furtado from the School Committee will address the approximately 217 graduating students. The valedictorian is Isaac Davis; the salutatorian is Szabolcs Kiss and the class essayist is Christina DiCenzio. The class president Kyle Gray will also address his fellow classmates.

Warwick Veterans Memorial High School’s seniors will graduate at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. A set of twins took valedictorian and salutatorian. Emily Almonte is this year’s valedictorian and her sister Lauren Almonte is the salutatorian. Amber Beech will present the class gift and Jeremy Morrissette is the class essayist. The Vets Class of 2014 numbers 216. Terry Medeiros from the School Committee and Karen Mathers, the senior class advisor, will address the graduates.

Pilgrim High School, with their smallest graduating class ever at about 210, is the final graduation for Warwick public schools. The ceremony will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. Karen Bachus from the School Committee will address the students, as will the class president, Victoria Curley. The valedictorian is Megan Wilks and the salutatorian is Jazeon Johnson.

Toll Gate, Pilgrim, and Veterans Memorial will all hold their graduation ceremonies at the Knight Campus of CCRI. Ceremonies will be held in Vincent A. Cullen field house for the three consecutive days. Besides high school principals Stephen Chrabaszcz, Marie Cote, and Gerald Habershaw, Mayor Scott Avedisian will speak at each public school commencement ceremony as well as Superintendent Richard D’Agostino.
