Bringing Learning and Service Together (BLAST) Camp and its goal to fight against summer learning loss will come to a close this Friday. Made possible with a $25,000 Hasbro Summer Learning Initiative Grant, the camp run by the Warwick Boys and Girls Clubs was open to 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Campers participated in a variety of activities, including a cleanup of the Oakland Beach beach. They made this mural board as one of their collective projects. And when it came time to identify campers for this caption, Rachael Sayler became the group’s scribe. From left in the first row: Charlie Burke, Devin Beaulieu and Nick DiFusco. Second row: Steven Burke, Branson Tucker-Smith, Emma Spolidoro, Chace Lapierre, Ben Campbell, Sean Murphy, Shawn Nolette and Rachel Sayler. In the club greenhouse where the campers conducted experiments in growing plants are Jaden and Kevin Kelley.
