SIGNING ON: Hendricken's Reuben Horace (left) and John Celona made their college commitments official earlier this month.

Two Bishop Hendricken track and field standouts signed National Letters of Intent earlier this month to continue their careers at Division I colleges. Warwick’s Reuben Horace signed with Boston University and North Providence’s John Celona committed to UNC-Charlotte.

Horace won the weight throw at this year’s state indoor track meet and place third at nationals earlier this month. He’ll join former teammate Mike Maloof at BU. Celona took seventh in the weight throw at states and finished 13th at nationals.

Hendricken now has eight Division I signees in its senior class, with Horace and Celona joining football player Max Heintzelman and baseball players Rich Bacon, Reed Gamache, Bobby Indeglia, Tom Pannone and Billy Walker.
